AWT-ALLWINTEX with its LOHAS Way


WINNERCO CO., LTD is an award winning Taiwanese company
founded in 1984 which has since then been performing very well in
the textile industry and has won global fame for its quality and
environmental friendly products.

In 2007 the company, aware of the negative impact of human action
on the environment, has taken a bold step to establishing its own
brand called ALLWINTEX (AWT) convinced that “the most
effective way to save the environment is to not harm the earth for
our own benefit”. According to Mr. Lu chairman of the board of directors of WINNERCO
CO., LTD the company has embraced the corporate social responsibility and built its
operations on the ALL-WIN business model: our world from Adam and Eva has been the
source of happiness as they ate fruits from trees, dressed up with leaves from plants and has
the sky for bed; this translates that human beings and the environment are intrinsically linked.
But humans have taken distance from the nature to which they belong and started to harm it
drastically with technologies and industries spreading everywhere and in a much diversified
field of business. A company WINNERCO CO., LTD’s way has been to create the ALL-WIN
business model in which the earth, the sky and the human, stakeholders benefits equally. In a
sense it is a commitment to develop environment friendly products through a green supply
chain and deliver “Lifestyles Of Health And Sustainability (LOHAS) textiles that are
fashionable, comfortable, healthy, safe, and eco-friendly”. This business model is also rooted
the S.E.E. (Social, Environmental, Economic) Sustainability concept developed by the
company.

The move of the company to the full social responsibility awareness in doing business
according to Mr. Lu came from the retrospective analysis of recent development in world
issues:

What has happened in our human society?

The world population has reached 7 billion which means the impact of human on the
environment is becoming drastically important. The gap between developed and developing
countries is widening, we have M-shaped societies everywhere, totalitarian regimes are
disappearing, the speed of access to internet information is amazing, access to clean water is
becoming a serious matter and labor class oppositions. Governments have been thinking ways
such as tax rises to help the poor and reduce inequalities but it is difficult to heal any arm the
environment

What has happened to the environment?

We are confronted with the global warming, continuous disasters, depletion of oil supplies
with soaring prices, air pollutions, melting of glaciers and the effects of the CO2 emissions on

the ozone layer. We have created lotions to protect ourselves from sun burns, however what
have we done to protect plants and animals? When people lose their homes under earthquakes
or hurricanes the insurance they have subscribed to covers the costs of repairs, but is there any
insurance for our environment?

This is where the corporate social responsibility comes in to address these issues. Companies
employ 80% of people to provide goods and services to the whole mankind but we can’t
imagine how big is their social responsibility with regards to the society, the economy and the
environment.

Being aware of such a challenge ALLWINTEX (short for All win Textile) has been striving
to provide the society, the economy and the human with Lifestyles Of Health And
Sustainability (ALOHAS) on the core concept S.E.E (Society-Environment-Economic
Sustainability). ALLWINTEX has also committed itself to developing H+E (Health and
Environmental) series of textiles as well as to promoting innovations for sustainability in the
company’s operations.

The overall goal of ALLWINTEX is to provide a better life to the society and the
environment through its products from the design to the production to the supply chain.
